SUPERFRONT Public Summer at Industry City

Position:  Project Manager for construction of a temporary architecture installation in a 3000 square-foot outdoor space between two industrial waterfront buildings for use as a public arts performance space this summer.  Stipend $150.  Responsible for coordinating with the winning design team, Architecture CO, and SUPERFRONT volunteers to deliver the installation on time (one month) and on budget ($1000 construction budget).  Project Manager must be available and hands-on at Industry City Saturdays and Sundays now through mid-July.  Position requires strong initiative, architectural acumen, good communication skills, and a positive make-it-happen attitude.  Construction experience a definite plus.  SUPERFRONT will provide support with volunteer manpower, transportation, and materials procurement.  Check out the charrette producing the winning design, and last year’s installation.

OPEN CALL FOR CONSTRUCTION VOLUNTEERS (as of June 18, 2011)

SUPERFRONT Public Summer at Industry City.  Minimal experience necessary.  You will receive onsite training.  Primarily weekends 1pm – sundown.
